Why no AD users?

There are two reasons why you have to create a new user to use the SI Training Web, even if you already have one in one of Software Innovation's AD domains.

1. Partners

Software Innovation partners don't have individual AD accounts for each employee. So instead of using two authentication schemes, we use the same for all.

If you come here from outside the SI network that means you have to log on twice - first to get access to the server, then to log on to the application. We're sorry about that.

2. Anonymity

Nobody is looking over your shoulder here. Your boss won't do a search on "who's the most knowledgeable programmer in team X?"

The SI Training Web is a tool to help you become qualified - and to know that you're qualified - to certify yourself on our products. The certifications are public. This tool is private. Use whatever username and e-mail address you like. We don't need to know who you are.
